DX2
The DX2 replaces the
famous and original maintenance free Speleo Technics Nicad-powered
caving lamp the FX2.
When the FX2 was introduced 25 years ago it offered a vast
improvement over the miners' lamps then used. The waist
mounted battery pack is, shock resistant, water resistant and gives good service life regardless of charging
level, made it an instant success and set a world standard. The
DX2 has all these qualities with new high capacity NiMh cells and
lighter weight.
Batteries can be left in a discharged state without suffering
damage, unlike old lead acid battery technology.

DX3
The DX3 is a
development of the DX2 and differs from it in having a larger more
powerful Nicad battery. It gives twice the light output for a
modest additional weight, using a twin-bulb headpiece similar to the
DX2 except that the main bulb is 3W. Batteries can be left in a
discharged state without suffering damage, unlike old lead acid
battery technology.
