FX2
The FX2 is the
famous and original maintenance free Speleo Technics Nicad-powered caving lamp.
When introduced 17 years ago it offered a vast improvement over the
miners' lamps then used. The waist mounted battery pack is shock
resistant,
water resistant and gives good service life regardless of charging
level. The FX2 was an instant success and set a world standard.
Batteries can be left in a discharged state without suffering
damage, unlike old lead acid battery technology.

FX3
The FX3 is a
development of the FX2 and differs from it in having a larger more
powerful Nicad battery. It gives twice the light output for a
modest additional weight, using a twin-bulb headpiece similar to the
FX2 except that the main bulb is 3W.
