Since 1983 Speleo Technics
has been the name to beat when it comes to rugged, waterproof head
torches but the competition have yet to do it!
Speleo
Technics set about researching the technology to produce the
ideal personal caving head torch and in 1983 introduced the
revolutionary FX2 cavers lamp. This immediately took the UK
market by storm and the company has since been at the forefront of
high quality head torch systems with a reputation for reliability,
brightness and light duration.
 DX3
is the most rugged light in professional use
underground. Its encapsulated design and top quality NiMh cells make
its battery virtually indestructible. A standard mining headpiece
and miners caplamp flex complete the picture. Not approved for
flammable atmospheres but great in metalliferous mines a quarries it
has proved itself better than lead/acid systems

Chargers have been giving very reliable service charging FX2,
FX3 and FX5 for the last four years.
The 5 way version is the standard for Outdoor Education Centre use
and is also used regularly in mining applications. Their reliability
perfectly compliments that of the DX2, DX3 and Nova Nickel batteries
for professional use.
Single IntelliPulse chargers are also available for DX2 DX3 and Nova
Nickel
All are "plug-in-and-forget" chargers. Batteries can be left on
charge permanently.

NOVA+
 The
NOVA PLUS is the latest in LED caving lights.The headpiece is the
most waterproof (Guaranteed -50 meters) on the market. Even though
very lightweight it is a tough light designed for the rigours of
British caving and is proving very reliable in Outdoor Centre
use.Extremely bright (up to 200 lumens) and with a duration of 30
hours on Nova Nickel (NiMh) battery or 60 hours on Alkaline “flatpack”.
Its patented design is unique to Speleo Technics.
