Li ion cell it has a similar weight to popular head torches with flat
alkaline batteries but with all the rechargeable power of a Speleo
Technics caving lamp. Smart chargers allow plug in and forget
charging. Little charge is lost in storage due to the superb

FX2
The FX2 is the
famous and original maintenance free Speleo Technics Nicad-powered caving lamp.
When introduced 17 years ago it offered a vast improvement over the
miners' lamps then used. The waist mounted battery pack is, shock
resistant,
water resistance and gives good service life regardless of charging
level, made it an instant success and set a world standard.

FX3
The FX3 is a
development of the FX2 and differs from it in having a larger more
powerful Nicad battery. It gives twice the light output for a
modest additional weight, using a twin-bulb headpiece similar to the
FX2 except that the main bulb is 3W. Batteries can be left in a
discharged state without suffering damage, unlike old lead acid
battery technology.
